Biodiesel of Las Vegas is looking for a Biodiesel Process Technician. Our Technicians work as a team to keep the plant running efficiently and producing the highest quality biodiesel. Biodiesel of Las Vegas operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and rotates staff in 12 hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety as a top priority
- Participate in efficiency studies
- Load and unload rail cars and trucks
- Operate pumps and valves
- Conduct quality checks and test lab products
- Monitor gauges and control panels
- Perform daily checks on process and peripheral equipment
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Up to 3-years years in a manufacturing environment in a team orientated company
- Previous chemical processing experience preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Computer, math and reasoning skills
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to heights, noise, heat, extreme weather conditions, and areas where hazardous chemicals are present
- Must be able to work all shifts /schedules as needed
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and to handle competing demands with flexibility
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, and walk extensively
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate shall possess a High School diploma or GED and a minimum five years maintenance experience in industrial, petrochemical, manufacturing, or power plant environment. The candidate must also be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Compensation:
Position pays $16 per hour.

Health Insurance: Employees are eligible for health insurance after 90 days of full time employment. Dependent/family medical insurance is available at the employee’s expense.
Life, vision, dental, voluntary supplemental, short and long term disability insurance can be added at employee’s expense.
Paid time off (vacation and sick time) is available after 9 months of employment.
Full time employees receive paid holidays.
